Frozen Strawberry Margaritas
Make ahead:
Bar syrup batch: 1 3/4 C water with 3.5 C granulated sugar... bring to a boil, make sure sugar is completely dissolved, cool and chill. This is way more than you'll need, it keeps for weeks in the fridge.
FYI this makes two drinks, why would you just want to make one?
To the blender, add:
1 10 oz bag frozen strawberries
1 large shaker of ice cubes (maybe two cups, give or take?)
4-6 oz reposado tequila (I prefer Cazadores)
1-2 oz Grand Marnier
2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
1.5 oz. bar syrup
Blend until fluffy... I've got a trusty Vitamix blender that makes these the perfect consistency. Your mileage may vary with less powerful blenders.
Use wedge of lime around outside of glass rim to dampen it, dip in sugar or salt (or a mix of the two).
